Artist David Bromley was born in Sheffield, England, in 1960 and migrated to Australia with his family in 1964. Bromley emerged as a painter in the mid-1980s developing themes for two distinct and unique styles of painting; the female portrait and the children's series. 3 Deep were commissioned to establish the artist's first ever monograph. Immersed in every aspect of the initiative, 3 Deep were responsible for all aspects of content production, creative and art direction services, design development and production.

Created as an impressive and finely detailed monograph, the publication was presented in a standard edition (3 volumes, slip case and mailer) and a hand made limited edition complete with boy's leather satchel and supporting hand made leather school book covers.

With an acute focus on creating a unique theatre of experience, our intimate understanding of the publishing process ensured that the title exceeded expectations.

More than a year in the making, 3 Deep crafted every aspect of the publication's form, narrative and character while managing all aspects of the publishing process on behalf of our client.

Our brief was to conceptualise, art direct and design a monograph to accompany an exhibition of the same name at the Goddard De Fiddes Gallery in Perth, Western Australia.
