Featuring the work of over 100 artists and designers from 32 countries, the NGV Triennial surveyed the world of art and design, across cultures, scales, geographies and perspectives. A free exhibition, the NGV Triennial was a celebration of contemporary art and design practice that traversed all four levels of NGV International. 3 Deep were commissioned to establish a highly identifiable campaign supported by an extensive programme of initiatives and communications.
More than 1m people from Australia and across the world visited the inaugural exhibition.
The campaign sought to excite existing and discerning patrons, while captivating and stimulating emerging audiences, supporting partners and media.
Surrounding the new, exciting and thought provoking work, Triennial EXTRA brought together a ten-night festival of dance performance, guest DJs, pop-up bars, architecture, food and conversation.
The graphic signatures established for the campaign permeated throughout all touch points of the exhibition – from museum wayfinding systems, through to branded environments, merchandise and activations.
